Boy do I love the gadgets and all the little cool things out there to try. Some are expensive and life altering, but the really cool ones are the inexpensive little things that add a little color to a sometimes drab life. Here are a collection of items that have made a splash for us lately.
The Elago Vintage Mac Apple Watch Stand

Does it get any cooler than this? A way to charge my apple watch in style on my desk at work – and create a tiny retro Mac in the process. Now I can charge my watch for an hour each day while I’m working so I can wear it to bed for sleep tracking. It was around $15 and can be found on Amazon or here.
Magnetic Key Holder for your Light Switch

What a simple idea, right? Replace a couple screws on your light switch cover with magnetic ones and boom – you have an instant key holder. Perfect for the kitchen or by the front door. There are multiple companies selling these on Amazon for around $8 for two.
The Sloth Tea Infuser

Oh so cute – and a little gross once you realize the little guy is actually taking a bath in your tea. But it definitely makes you slow things down and patiently enjoy the tea goodness that only a sloth could provide. These can also be found on Amazon or a bunch of other places for under $10.
Zen Brush 2
Now, an iPad Pro and an Apple pencil are not inexpensive gadgets. But the app Zen Brush 2 is a simple and fun drawing tool that mimics an Asian Ink Brush. It’s relaxing and easy to use. There are dozens of background templates, the ability to brush with lots of water or very little water, and various shades of black and red. If you want to be an extra skillful artist, then check it out on the iTunes store for $2.99
Disney’s Tower of Terror Clue

It’s Clue! But the Disney theme park edition, so nobody is dead. It does take place in the Tower of Terror, though. Scary. The game is an awesome set – full of details and amazing packaging. The pieces are metal, the game board is heavy duty, and the whole theming is retro, Disney, and a little steampunk. A really well put together game. It’s expensive, though, coming in at around $50. You can find it at Walt Disney World, but also occasionally on Amazon.
The Chewbacca Mask

We’ve all seen the video. We laughed, and then we laughed some more, until we were crying. Then one of these little beauties ended up under our tree for Christmas and we all have been taking turns being Chewbacca – or at least Chewbacca Mom. Now that added a splash to our holidays….
That’s it for now. On to find some more fun to play with!
