We’ve been waiting years to be able to bring the kid with us to the gym to work out. She finally reached the right age, so over the weekend my wife took her over to the gym and signed her up. And today was her first day. My wife and her went to a workout class together, and from what I hear – she did great! Of course, she got rewarded after the class with a visit to Tropical Smoothie. I hope that doesn’t continue or going to the gym will net more calories than not going! Anyway, they already have plans to go twice this week after music lessons. I’m going to get her in there too and show her how to lift. It’ll be fun. The kid is getting so big and things are changing fast. It’s becoming a whole new world…

So the big double feature movie night was a success last night. The crazy horror movie the kid found was truly scary. It was from Australia and we all know how nuts they are. Good Will Hunting was as good as I remember. Robin Williams was so amazing in this role. The poignancy of his performance is even greater considering the tragic end of his own life. Man, I miss that guy. The scene when he is telling the story about the night he meets his wife and the famous Red Sox world series game he had tickets to and the big home run by Fisk and how he gave up his ticket to stay and talk to his future wife – the whole scene, the whole scene, is life. Anyway, an amazing performance and a great movie.
The good stuff.
