Ouch. My tooth has been bothering me lately. I may have a cavity. Or I may just have a sinus thing going on. Sometimes it hurts in my tooth, sometimes in the one above it. Other times it doesn’t bother me at all. Sometimes it gets all – yikes – when something cold hits my bottom tooth and then other times it’s ok. I keep debating going to the dentist. Once you open that door – it’s on. They’ll have me strapped down wanting to do all kinds of unnatural things to me. Still, I woke up the past few nights with throbbing pain. Then in the morning, I’m fine.
The other thing going on is my right hip started really hurting me at the gym today. I was doing my 15 minutes of walking on the treadmill after lifting when shooting pain started happening right in the joint of my leg and hip. I had to stop and then limp around. It eventually started feeling better later in the day. I’ve been running a lot lately, so I guess that has something to do with it. And also getting old.
The kid went to see Beauty and the Beast last week with her friend. Her friend actually surprised her with the movie as a belated birthday present. She was texting back and forth with my wife planning the whole thing. The kid loved the movie, of course. I mean, she has met Belle and the Beast and even Gaston a number of times and has eaten in the actual ballroom at Disney World – so she’s a fan.

So she is taking us to see the movie this weekend. We might even be taking this boy she likes from orchestra. Ugh. Not the movie, but – you know. Boys. Ugh.
We are looking forward to the movie, though.
I’m watching the World Baseball Classic championship game right now. The USA is up on Puerto Rico 4-0 and is throwing a no hitter in the 6th. I don’t understand how Puerto Rico has it’s own team. They are part of the United States, so their players should be eligible for the USA team, right? Does Washington D.C. have it’s own team? The Virgin Islands? Guam? Why Puerto Rico? Well, the obvious reason is because they have so many good players. Which is why it’s the obvious reason that they should just be on the USA team. So either way tonight, the USA wins, right?
I’m really just glad baseball is back. Only 12 days until opening day. Maybe spring will finally get here by then. It’s been a long month since we had the nice spring weather of February. Ah, the memories.
The kid started this thing a few years ago on St. Patrick’s Day where she leaves a treat out for the leprechauns and then they bring something for her. When she started it I was like, is this a thing? Evidently is was now. This year she left a peppermint bark square and they showed up and left a mint cookie with a green skittle on top:

Which blossomed into a butterfly:

They could’ve left some Guinness, too.
