Fleeting

Life is fleeting, so they say. Change is around every corner and the end is coming inevitably one day to everyone and everything. Huge change like the death of a friend or family member is what mostly comes to mind when we reflect on the fleetingness of life. Other events can give us that sense … Continue reading Fleeting

Medal Time

Race day is over and it went really good! We’re tired, though, and it’s only 1pm. Here’s our recap: The day started early at 5:30am. I didn’t get much sleep because I stayed up all night watching UVA get pummeled by UMBC in the NCAA Tournament. Even though I only got a little over 4 … Continue reading Medal Time

Back to Wine

I haven’t been keeping up this blogging thing like I planned. Part of the problem is that during the summer I don’t have hardly any alone time to think and write these things. We stay up late and are always doing things. That just leaves during work, and writing a blog is probably not the … Continue reading Back to Wine

Dreamy Craziness

I want to continue to recap our recent trip to New Orleans, but I’ve been having a hard time getting my thoughts together on the second installment. My mind has been in this fog of pollen induced dreamy existence. I need to get back into more frequent posts, though, so here it goes. Back to … Continue reading Dreamy Craziness

All the Green

But first… Continue reading “All the Green”

On Location

Hanging at O’Connor brewery for some fun before off to the ODU basketball game tonight. We got a warm seat under the heat lamps. Many beers and some tacos to accompany the people watching. Of all the breweries we have been to this has remained our favorite. It just has the perfect blend of location, … Continue reading On Location

Should we?

Life’s been moving along this summer and the struggle has been on to not have every day be the same – so that the next thing you know the summer is over with nothing memorable happening. So in the first three weeks we’ve been having a summer movie series, a summer book club, been to a concert, gone to the pool, played mini golf, had a friend over for dinner, went for walks at the beach, had 4th of July in Williamsburg, and I replace one of our bathrooms’ floor and toilet. So I guess it’s been an eventful summer so far. The last few days fate decided to take over, though, and throw some memorable curveballs at us in which we had to make a decision. Did we make the right ones? Continue reading “Should we?”
