So if I leave home in the morning to get to work on time I hit a bunch of traffic. I have to go right past the middle school when all their busses are leaving which blocks up the intersection and causes me to have to wait through multiple light cycles. Then at another intersection further down I run into the busses again and lots of cars and it can take 3-4 light cycles this time. If I leave 10 minutes late it’s clear sailing. What do you think I do most days? All I can say is it’s a good thing nobody really pays any attention to me at work.
My wife and I saw this commercial the other day and we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. It’s a drug commercial for people who have OIC. You know – that common but dreaded condition known as Opioid Induced Constipation. Unbelievable, huh? So, since we got you addicted to the opioids, why not now take this new drug so you can deal with a side effect of the first drug. All the while the cash registers are ringing. How about getting off the opioids?!? Would that be a novel approach? Maybe not even getting on them in the first place? Man oh man – the world we live in now. Here, check out the commercial for yourself:
Of course the person with this problem will be someone like this guy. A put together responsible construction foreman. I’m sure there are millions out there just like him. Right. Oh, and I love how he’s embarrassed about having to say constipation, but has no problem with the word opioid. I think we are doomed…
Today’s lunch view.

It was food truck day at work, so I picked up a little something before going home to hit the treadmill. I got a shrimp po’ boy in honor of our trip to New Orleans in just over a month. They didn’t have any hurricanes…
